War Horse - Michael Morpurgo
Egmont UK Limited.
(1982)

You may have noticed that so far all three books being reviewed on this blog are books that were released years ago. But I know for a fact there are many many books out there older than myself that are amazing, I just haven't read them yet. I grew up reading Michael Morpurgo's books. I don't think you should go a lifetime without reading at least one. I also think you can enjoy his books no matter what age you are. They are timeless. Without further delay I hope to give you a quick summary of the book and I hope you enjoy.

You know how people sometimes say that a book can come along at the right time in life? And how others speak of a book having the ability to change their lives? Well that is exactly what this book was to me. I first came across it at the age of 16 after it was recommended by a friend. This is the book that I need to keep with me at all times, as a safety blanket of sorts.

It is a rainy Tuesday day, and what better to do than to review books that I have lying around the house? These books are so precious to me, it will take a lot for me to part with them, if I ever do! I really really hope you decide to read these books. If you know me personally, I will honesly let you borrow them if you promise to look after them. I hope you enjoy The Ink Devourers' first review.
